A revista é indexada em plataformas importantes como a MLA e promove a pesquisa e colaboração no ensino de português como língua global.

A well-deserved recognition!

Today we had the great pleasure of giving the Award for Excellence in Advocacy in Portuguese Language Education to Liesl Picard!

Through her work at FIU’s Kimberly J. Green Latin American and Caribbean Center (LACC), Liesl has been a tireless advocate for Portuguese, supporting teachers,especially in K–12 programs, and helping secure funding that keeps so many of our initiatives alive.

Projects like the Portuguese Language Journal and many others have only been possible because of this continuous support, once also strengthened by the U.S. Department of Education through LACC.

On behalf of the entire AOTP community, we say: muito obrigada, Liesl! Your dedication and partnership truly make a difference for Portuguese language education in the U.S. ✨
